Analysis of Awake because sandman cut down expenses (Sandman I)
It's in the middle of the night
I woke up feeling restless
a dream had a message
one I did not get
I turned and turned and turned
sleep didn't want to come no more
and those bedsocks on my feet
pfff I took them off, awfully warm
Sleep still kept its distance
I slipped out of bed
made myself a cup of tea
sipping it with care
Suddenly I saw the sandman
and asked him: Sandman why,
don't you give me enough sand
so I can sleep all night?
That my dear is not that easy
to know how much you need
also I have my orders
not to spill a thing
But what about my dreams I asked
I do not have a clue
I need to know the end you see
they are important to me
Sorry but this sand is special
not with others to compare
and to make it always last
I have to cut down the expense
