Analysis of Aloud

if i got the mongrel boy to read
aloud, would then you love me?
poems dipped in heart well
with quill of lips and soul's
dotted "i's"
and you with a magpie's song
always sing
and i always listen
to the cooing of banalities
that seem iconic moments
appearing on history tests
so everyone will learn
how to love.
