Analysis of Absense
I thought I could be strong
but I did not know my own strength
I was overcome by love
it made me panic when I saw your face
in an instant I was in too deep
and I feared I would never resurface
but even deeper was the blue
in your radiant, green eyes
for five years I had missed you
in five seconds I knew the outcome
there was no penetrating your
defense mechanism of steel
I made a terrible mistake
we were much safer on the wire
you were safer in your world
if only I could have waited
for blue-norther to blow wildly beyond
maybe we could have found better refuge
but love knows not of virtue
no longer do I know you still
