Dr. Joseph W. Schnapp, Jr.

Dr. Joseph W. Schnapp, Jr., was born to military parents in Ft. Carson Colorado as a premature baby. Due to his comorbidities he spent a good bit of his youth in hospitals for corrective surgery- some of which was "cutting-edge" and "experimental" especially given medical science at the time. Academically Dr. Schnapp attended public education and graduated High School at age 18. Additionally, Dr. Schnapp had permission and indeed attended his local Junior College whilst also attending High School accumulating approximately two years of college semester points by the time of his High School graduation. Dr. Schnapp then enlisted into the United States Army (RA) and spent a little over two years active duty with postings throughout what was then "West Germany." Dr. Schnapp , particularly in his youth remained active and indeed excelled in various, divergent pursuits. Among these awards & accolades Dr. Schnapp achieved the honored distinction of being: a) an Eagle Boy Scout; b) elected by his peers to the "Order of the Arrow" (e.g. "Arrowman"); c) achieved the high standing of a "Gold-In-Gold" 4-H member and finally: d) Lettered in sports both in Junior High & High School. Dr. Schnapp's passion for his efforts culminated in his receiving a rarely issued award, honor & plaque citing him as the: "Most Inspirational Player" from his High School Varsity Soccer team. Literary pursuits- particularly reading & writing remain an integral part of Dr. Schnapp through this writing. Dr. Schnapp also has the distinction & notoriety of been published in various poetry publications spanning Junior High, High School & Collegiate forums. Dr. Schnapp remains fond of poetry and Haiku- which he readily admits he is better at the former rather than the latter! Dr. Schnapp chooses to continue his diverse education and life experiences as well since he abhors "stasis." To date Dr. Schnapp has attended classical education in various colleges and also private Seminary. Today Dr. Schnapp has earned an Associates in Sociology & Divinity; a Bachelor's degree in Divinity & Psychology, a Master's in Divinity along with a Doctorate of Divinity. Currently on medical hiatus, Dr. Schnapp will shortly complete both a Master's & Doctorate in Psychology when his health permits. Traveling abroad & domestically also remains an integral part of the very fiber of Dr. Schnapp as he travels from place-to-place whenever the mood suites him and his health permits such. As of this writing (2012.06.16) Dr. Schnapp remains a member of the United States Army Reserve (USAR) and also an appointed officer with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGAUX) in continuing service to his nation.
