Analysis of My light
Amya Camacho 1999 (Texas)
Why do you look at me like that?
It makes my heart cry.
Everytime our eyes meet,
I feel myself die a bit more.
You come up to talk to me,
And stab me with your kind demeanor.
You look my way,
And my vocal chords twist and tangle.
I really love you,
But I'm sure you actually hate me.
I try to communicate,
But nothing I do works on you.
I could write a love letter,
But I'm sure you wouldn't read it.
Your heartbeat is too strong,
Mine falls behind and slows.
I want you to be happy,
But you cannot find it with me.
Go off and shine,
my dull light weakens.
