Analysis of For A Better Life
Immigrants migrate, for whatever reasons,
Whether politically or economically
To breathe in a better atmosphere
To live in a better life
To participate in democracy,
Equality, humanity,
And a fair justice system that
They cannot gain
In their beloved country
Even having skill and talent
They work hard with cheap labour
They feed their children
They also help their parents
And family
They bear all hardships
But when they turn old
They realize that
They have lost their children,
Family, culture, society
Factual, everything
For money and passport only,
They become a victim of loneliness
And depression
Holding tears in gloomy eyes
And a broken heart
Migration costs one's children
Family, friends, culture, and country,
For a better life
I think, and think,
I neither can go back nor stay
In such conception
And context, what means a better life?
