Analysis of The Hunger Strikers Of Ireland

Oh, let us appreciate those who gave
Their lives for the freedom of Ireland,
For such an offering is far beyond
Those who seek to understand.

Chorus.
Oh, the brave hunger strikers of Ireland
It is you whom we appreciate and not
The politicians who ignored the total
Courage of your fate.

For as an occupied country our martyrs
Whom we admire so loved Ireland that
They suffered and died offering their
Lives for us.

And many are the names which I could
Mention but now I imagine the cross
Which each of them bravely carried
To free the land of their birth.

For to offer one’s life for one’s nation
Is an act of love and bravery far
Beyond any type of comparison
Or that of comprehension.

Thus, I believe that those who sacrificed
Their lives for the freedom of Ireland
Are all now dwellers in the eternal
And heavenly home of God’s love.
