Analysis of Entering Carmel

Lit by April sunshine
Daffodils and bluebells
Quivered  in  a breeze…

In the silence
Of an oratory
Sharing the prayer
Of my fraternity

Like a bride
I made my promise -
A covenant with a Person
Whose presence was apparent…

Entering Carmel I praised God
For calling me to the Mount of Love
In the footsteps of Teresa and John
Where - in mantled brown -
With the help of Our Lady of Carmel
I pursue the wounded Stag
Upon the hill.
