Analysis of The Ballad Of Sheila

Oh, my spouse is from the land of The Gael
That fair City of Derry by the banks of The Foyle.
An attraction from the moment we initially met
To be followed soon after by date upon date...

As the time passed our love grew together so
We decided to marry to be a mother and a father.
And since then we have added to the family fold
Who along with my spouse is of the purest gold.

Oh, yes, a Derry colleen from near the flow of a river
Is the love of my heart, a love destined forever. For
My wife is a treasure beyond compare and I thank
God,Our Father, for the love that we all daily share.
