Quand je te vis entre un millier de Dames,
L'elite et fleur des nobles, et plus belles,
Ta resplendeur telle estoyt parmy elles,
Quelle est Venus sur les celestes flames.

Amour adonq' se vangea de mille ames
Qui luy avoyent jadis esté rebelles,
Telles tes yeux eurent leurs estincelles
Par qui les cueurs d'un chacun tu enflames.

Phebus, jaloux de ta lumiere sainte,
Couvrit le ciel d'un tenebreux nuage,
Mais l'air, maugré sa clarté toute estainte,

Fut plus serain autour de ton visage.
Adonq' le dieu d'une rage contreinte
Versa de pleurs un large marescage.
