Analysis of Addiction

Nicole Doedli 1983 (United States)

I will come into your life like a freight train.
He'll on wheels consuming everything leaving only rain.

I will consume your soul and set fire to your heart.
But still, then you won't want to part.

I will tear your relationships to shreds.
And then I will leave you wishing you were dead.

I will make you a shell of what you once were.
But remember you wanted and longed to feel my burn.

You ran to me every day.
You let me possess you in every day.

Yes, I'm a Demon but you wanted me to stay.
My name is Addiction and I will not let you stray.
