Analysis of Encapsulated Beauty
Subjective beauty hanging on a wall
Mesmerising colours and strokes tall
A portrait of a mystery girl
With bewitching beauty and bright blonde curls
The girl has witnessed countless centuries
Watched families, kept their memories
For she is reduced to sit there and stare
and still be beautiful in her despair
Her world consists of mere paper
and one flourish of water can take her
So, she asks, what is a better life
Having watercolour eyes or full sight?
Next time you see a portrait of a girl
Do not be so mesmerised by her curls
For this encapsulated had a life of her own
She had children to love, a home to run
And after everything, the painting is a replica
So she’s not even rare, you’re just hanging her
Placing her on a wall for all to see
Cementing her namelessness for eternity
