Analysis of Forgotten
I started alone,
I always knew you'd play with my life.
Now you're here,
And I won't leave your side.
This is a promise,
Made to you by me.
Wherever you are , I hope you get to be free.
Unlike me,
Chained to the bottom
Watching everyone pass me by
Those words were a lie.
And you made me cry.
Can't you see me
Can't you hear me,
Every breath I take
brings me closer to the bottom,
The louder I scream
The more I drown,
Keep my mouth closed
Maybe I'll survive
Keep my eyes down
I can fake it,
I've been sinking from the start
Just give me any part,
I'm screaming for you
How can you not hear me.
Help I'm sinking,
I'm chained to the bottom
You told me you'd be here for me
I guess I'm one of the forgotten.

About this poem
It's about always being someone's second choice. Whether in friendships, and how people don't realize what they do to people with their actions
