Analysis of Don’t Lose Hope Son Keep Digging (Bussokusekika)

Edwin Tanguma 1966 (CA)

Don’t Lose Hope Son Keep Digging   (Bussokusekika)

It appears as IF
Someone’s trying to fleece me
Or the town itself
They sent me on a goose chase
Yet My Father insisted
Don’t lose hope Son keep digging

About this poem

Over the last 20 years I have been keeping tabs on my little 10 acres and I’ve always known it to be on Southwest Sunsites Road…For some silly reason someone sent me to N John Conley Road saying my property is located there…Well I beg to differ…It even appears that some large local cattle rancher has fenced up the larger portion of my property…I guess he’ll be the one having to pay the surveyor’s fees to prove that the land is his…And Van Horn considers their town Christian and God fearing…Well maybe they are in their own minds…I know who Am I…Oh well…I guess I’ll have to go file a formal complaint to have the fence removed on Monday…Until then My Father wants me to drink a few more for him tonight…Heck…I was only going to purchase 1 case and he insisted that I purchase 2…Go figure…
