Analysis of Right

Ladywingz 1970 (Long Beach)

You had been right by my side from the day I was conceived In fact, you were part of my right side
I could not say you were my right-hand woman
Because the fact is you were my right leg
You held me up from the time I first stood And when I learned to walk, you were the first I stepped out on
When I learned to ride a bike, you started the pedals in motion
You made me stand tall
With you, some things in this world seems so small
With you, I had a leg up on life
But not now, for if I did, I would fal
l I'm not as tall today, in fact I'm not vertical at all
For now, I'm horizontal bound with that being said as I lay in my bed
Right leg oh right leg you are missed
At first, I was a little pissed
I knew walking too would be missed
I thought, how can I live like this or do I just exist
12 months plus a few Wow! how time flew Life is more of a challenge
Like why can't I roll over to sleep on my stomach or sleep on my side
I never thought without you, I'd be so screwed
for now, I have to sleep on my back
12 months plus a few of this horizontal humdrum
No more that's it I am done
I'm done being horizontal
Time for the hard work to begin
Time to seek out help It's time to make haste,
time to exercise my leg that is left
Time to get my stump ready for the coupling of a prosthetic
Time to take action
get a new leg up on life to get up and out of bed and a new leg to stand on
Time to take these steps to step again
 Maybe even dance
Still right leg oh right leg you are missed
