Analysis of Politics And Politicians

Robert T. Davenport 1979 (Newark, New Jersey)

Politics And Politicians
By Robert T. Davenport

In the realm of politics, where power resides,
There are those who stand tall, with hearts open wide.
They are the leaders who truly understand,
That serving the people is their sacred command.

They rise above the noise, the empty promises,
And embrace the values that the community blesses.
For they know that true power lies not in fame,
But in the lives they touch, in the hearts they claim.

They walk among us, these politicians rare,
With compassion in their eyes, and a genuine care.
They listen to the struggles, the hopes, and the fears,
And work tirelessly to wipe away the tears.

They build bridges of unity, not walls of divide,
And in their actions, they let their integrity guide.
They fight for justice, for equality and rights,
And shine a beacon of hope in the darkest of nights.

They understand that politics is not a game,
But a platform to uplift, to heal, and to tame.
They don't seek power for personal gain,
But to bring about change, to alleviate pain.

So, to those politicians who truly stand,
For the people, the communities, hand in hand,
We salute your dedication, your unwavering zeal,
For showing us that politics can be real.

For we, the people, will not be swayed,
By empty words or promises made.
If you want our support, show us your heart,
And prove that you're here to play your part.

For in the end, it's not about the votes you receive,
But the lives you touch, the communities you relieve.
So let your actions speak louder than words,
And show us that you're for the people, not just for the herds.
