Analysis of Hold me close

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Hold me close.

Hold me close and try to understand. The way I feel when I'm in your hands. Hold me close and hold me tight. Then I will take you into the night. So hold the candles high, and we'll shine bright and turn the night into daylight. Some came to sing, and some came to pray. All I want is for you to stay. I want you by my side every day. There is no one who can ever take that away. So put away all your sorrows and fears. Then you won't have any more tears.
