Analysis of The Power of a Verse
Gisela Vigil 1959 (Cuba)
A string of many words or simply just a few
in humble cloth or splendidly adorned.
A thought to ponder of what’s old or new,
A spark to flame a fire yet unborn.
A celebration, spreads essence of its joy.
A space where broken heart allowed to heal.
For game of life, the secrets of the ploy.
A safety net for everything to feel.
A written thought can teach the wise or fool,
for neither is a master of his trade.
A poem’s power, magical a tool.
Its impact, never will it fade.
