Analysis of Angels Among Us

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

There are angels among us yet some people don't believe,
Sometimes you don't have to look and you still receive.
They could be at your work - your house - or in your car,
They just might surprise you one day and show up at your local bar.
Have you ever had a bad day at work and it never seems to change,
Then all of a sudden things begin to rearrange.
Then you're at home and nothing is going right,
You say, "God help us"...and suddenly everything is now alright.
Your car breaks down and there's no one in sight,
You start to give up and a tow truck appears in the night.
Saturday night at the bar trying to drink yourself dead,
Jesus appears before you as the angel in your head.
You say you don't believe even now you still have your doubt,
Just ask the Lord to guide you and show you what it's all about.
So next time you're on a trip you might even be on a bus,
Just remember they're out there...the angels are among us.
