Analysis of It's Not About Me

Lord, I know it's not about me,
Everything is all about You.
Thank You for dying for me on Calvary,
I don't thank You like I'm supposed to.

I hold to this truth, that it's You alone,
Who died to save me, this I condone.
When I start looking at my surroundings,
Life starts to lose its meaning.

What's the meaning of life, they say,
It's to give You honor and worship, night & day.
We are to pray, never ceasing,
And always, to the Lord, be singing.

We are all soon getting our new bodies,
And then we live forever in the heavenlies.
Salvation is zero me, one hundred You,
It doesn't save us, what we do.

I trust You to do what is best.
All I can do with anything is make a mess.
I really love You, Lord, with all I am,
Thanks for being my God; thanks for being the Lamb.

About this poem

The bible says salvation is the free gift of God. Not by works lest any man should boast. It's ONLY about what Jesus did. Nothing about us. The bible also says our works are as filthy rags before a Holy God. We are nothing...He is everything. Just believe, trust God, and accept His free gift of salvation today PLEASE!
