Analysis of Addiction

the more i want the less i need,
til those wants turn into needs.
it drains me inside and out but i still crave for something more.

the need for something more,
the more i need the less i want.
the cravings built and pent up inside like nothing more,
like the very hair on my head is picked and pulled apart by you.

i'm like this because of you, you know that right?
i turn to these cravings to help me forget the past of you,
i still stand today because of these cravings and helpless needs,
because before my only need was you.

but you left me with a dark hole in my heart,
something to be filled by drunken thoughts,
missed calls and messages to your cell
but the cravings help me push past it all.

it might not be what it is right,
but who can decide between the thin line of right and wrong?
you might not have thought it through,
but the cravings help to clear my vision and see right through.

so tell me, what would you do when you can't see what is right and wrong.
when your wants turn into needs of self doubt and harm.

this is because of you cant you see?
or are you blinded by the sheer self doubt of dating me?
am i that broken or too far gone for your pitiful words that i do not seek?

or should i just turn to the only thing that fills my dark desperate hole in my heart of need.
