Analysis of Know through Love
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Let us love one another,
Because love is from the Lord;
Like your sister and brother,
That they are loved and adored.
To show love you’re born of God,
Not showing love does not know;
A profane heart that is flawed,
Glory to God will not show.
For His love made manifest,
That God sent His only Son;
Enables us to invest,
The salvation that is won.
Not that we have loved the Lord,
He propitiates all sin;
So to be in one accord,
And be purified within.
Beloved, if God has loved us,
We should love one another;
So His glory shines as thus,
Sharing love with each other.
No one has ever seen Him,
But faith will show of His love;
Gladness when things have looked grim,
Shows perfection from above.
