Analysis of When I’m dead and buried

When I’m dead and buried, please don’t forget these importance I did bring
As you sort , toss , keep or decide what do with my things
Remember, what it meant to me, even when you thought it was crazy
Don’t just box me away,  using grief as excuse for being lazy
Remember that I changed you , and I held
You through the night
Remember it was me who loved you , when you saw no light
Try to find the reason why I kept that porcelain bear
Try to remembe me! even though I’m not here
When I’m dead  and buried, please  don’t forget our talks
Don’t forget how many times I held your hands through all of life’s walks
Remember when you hated me most that I remained your punching bag
Remember when I was your everything and not some bothersome  old hag
Remember how I cried when I couldn’t give you the best
I continued to cry every night while you soundly were at rest
When I’m dead and buried I will just be a name. My belongings thrown away
Remember not to argue over expenses or  who will have to Pay
Remember how much I loved you, even when you gave up on me
Remember your brothers and sisters ,
We are still a family
Remember how I loved your children  and how we used to play
remember most of all you will be me
One day.
When my time is over, remember my heart was always tugged
Don’t stress over small things like when was last time we hugged?
I may not be the best mom or what you think I should
Remember I loved you more than anyone else ever could.
When I’m dead  and  buried do not be afraid of the days you have ahead
Remember me in prayer as you lay down to bed
Remember my laughter at everything you do, how beautiful you are to me
Remember that my love  was true even when you couldn’t see
As I say my goodbyes to you know my love will
Never ever end
You’re more than just my children,  but, my very best friends
Let your tears be filled with joy knowing you were my life
Love your children, siblings,
Your husband and your wife
Don’t let my grave keep you from moving on today
I know you will miss me, but I can no longer stay
Remember that my faults were never to hurt but only  to protect
Remember I’m a human being and never was perfect
I may have done things in a way you won’t agree
My burdens are not yours to bare, they are souly mine to free
My life was not the greatest many times I was down and beat
But I got up  every morning just so our eyes could meet
Now our lives have taken very different bends
Remember when I’m dead and buried
I loved you to the end.

About this poem

I lost my son, he was two. I thought about how many people didn’t care, didn’t miss him, didn’t cry for him, didn’t ache… I thought about myself
