Analysis of My Own Hell
I don't feel like a person
I feel like a thing
You might not understand so I'll explain what I mean
I'm void of emotion
I don't seem to care
People around me are hurting
But I remain unaware
Empathy is what I lack,
I know this all to well
Not knowing when I'm needed
Is my own personal hell

About this poem
I'm Autistic and so I have trouble emotionally connecting with others. Not knowing when someone needs a kind word that you're absolutely desperate to give can be infuriating
