Analysis of We Are Tired And Sick Of War
Yousif Ibrahim Abubaker 1986 (Omdurman)
Struggle and crave risk annihilating Sudan, where clashing between concurrent generals ruptured mid-April
Awkwardly war in Sudan, innate out of oppression rolling authority, has consequences in thousands of dooms, the desolation of belongings, homes, schools, hospitals and other substantial services, tremendous uprooting, as well as venereal rowdyism, behavior which may lead to war offense
Embarking tragically comes true, as conflict-induced food shortage has plunked millions of people into squeaky pants
We are paying pricey
Hundreds of thousands of breeds are robustly undernourished at pressing imperil of killing, had left untreated
But the quarrelling has prohibited the abuse of carcasses, numerous others' cogitation to have endeared
Kindred and booster are ambushed in Omdurman
Khartoum
And North Khartoum
The heart of Sudan has lost its soul;
the heart fires have been reiterated desecrates
A billion of people have been obliged to flee their homes
Fear-filled days passed
There is a feeling that we are going to make it with all the chaos in the land today,
It’s easy to become peaceful over the moonlight
To share some goodwill with our neighbors and put aside your differences with our enemies
It is not enough to win a war
It is more important to unite ourselves when it comes to peace at last

About this poem
POET’S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM: The poem was written on Friday, 27 August 2023. This poem captures the tragedy of death and suffering in Sudan, bewildered again and again, by the endless uses of so many death technologies. I was dismayed that a score of nations appear to be pursuing selfish interests amidst the ethnic and tribal cleansing and genocides occurring. We are living with endless war. Nothing more can be said about war. Violence begets violence, war begets war! No cries of noble. more »
