Analysis of Fate's Faithful Journey

Tammie Swinehart 1974 (Mooresville, IN)

In shadows deep, a man I see,
His heart a mystery, a soul set free.
He walks a path with steadfast gait,
Belief in nothing, save his fate.

No worldly chains, no dogma's hold,
His spirit's story, yet untold.
He casts aside the doubts that creep,
In destiny's arms, he finds his sleep.

No gods to guide, no scriptures guide,
Within himself, his truths reside.
He trusts the stars, the cosmic dance,
And takes each step with bold advance.

For faith he holds, not in the divine,
But in the power of his own design.
In every trial, every twist of time,
He finds his purpose, in rhythm and rhyme.

His journey's canvas, a blank expanse,
He wields his choices like a lance.
With courage fierce and heart aligned,
He carves a path, unique, unconfined.

In solitude, he seeks his truth,
A mystic sage, a noble sleuth.
He gazes at the universe's face,
And finds his solace in its grace.

Oh, man of fate, in darkness strong,
You teach us how to move along.
To trust the journey, face the unknown,
And carve our destinies from stone.

No matter creed, or deity's nod,
Your tale reminds us, there's a road untrod.
In the tapestry of life we weave,
Believe in self, and so achieve.

Tammie Swinehart

Not much to say. I live in a small town in Indianapolis and work full-time as a manager for an insurance company. I have written poems going back to grade school. They were all horrible, but fun and passed the time. I have journals of poems that go back 40 years. So now that I have more free time, I dig them out, clean them up while preserving the original thought and meaning behind them. more…
