Analysis of The Love I Tried Giving You

Daisy 1972 (California)

Falling for you when the red flags are plain to see,
You seek women you can lead on who are someone just like me,
They're manipulated easily as you try and get your way,
You always know how to pretend and the right things to say,
We're shamelessly used without a single thought,
It's sad that you enjoy playing like a sport someone else's heart
I often wonder who hurt you so bad?
That it's fulfilling to make women feel sad,
This time last year I saw you as my twin flame,
but, I've learned to see through you and I don't feel the same,
I don't hate you or have resentment towards you,
but, hopefully one day you'll realize the love I tried giving you was true.
