Analysis of Doodle Duck had some luck

Doodle was a simple duck,
Who had not a mere ounce of luck.
He liked to play
Out with his friends all day,
But when he neared great farmer Barry,
He went all lirry Larry
For great farmer Barry loved to eat,
And he especially loved duck meat.
He ran and he ran,
Away from great farmer barry,
And then, he found something to carry.
The thing was certainly a marvellous find,
One hundred percent one of a kind.
He turned to face farmer barry,
And all of a sudden it was the farmer who was lirry Larry.
He cried out oh fear great doodle!!
And ran to fetch his wife’s poodle.
And they ran for the hills,
With all of their frills,
And great farmer barry and his wife milly-Lilly were never seen again.

All the other ducks cheered,
Oh,great doodle, our saviour! Where have you been all these years?
They all burst into happy, relieved tears.
Doodle The Duck,
Had the best luck.

About this poem

My 10 year old daughter started writing this poem, randomly. She had just been given her first ever phone. We were shopping & stopped for lunch. She began writing it in the notes App on her new phone. Carried on when she got home. This was the result.
