Analysis of Hello Old Man
Hello Old Man ©

While wandering the pastoral Arlington streets
I came across a lovely flowered abode
My ears did focus on boisterous children playing
Their mother’s pride just yearning to explode
A young soprano boy’s voice rang right out
Clear as a Sunday church’s bell
“Hello old man!”, he gleefully exclaimed
“Hello young boy” back gleefully I did yell
Pure love was the only thing I felt
And 100% honesty of course
For such a joyous exclamation from a child
Should not be constrained by parental remorse
Truth he espoused for an old man I am!
And an old man I am proud to be
My heart was warmed and fed with joy
To hear a child be so honest and free
