Analysis of Grønne Flod, Du strømmer sorgfuld

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

Grønne Flod, Du strømmer sorgfuld,
Mange Liig Du fører med Dig;
Liig af Christne og af Maurer,
Som det tunge Sværd har fældet.

Dine friske, klare Bølger
Ere røde nu af Blodet;
Blod af Maurer og af Christne,
Som er' faldne her i Slaget."
