Analysis of KEEP ON SWINGING
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
I need some time alone. I feel like a dog without a bone—a stranger living in a house unable to call it home. I took to the bottle again because she was the only one I could trust, so I called my once again friend. I want to dance inside of the rain.in hopes, it will wash away years of unexplainable triumphs and pain.
All of this shit from my past is calling me again in disguise, calling it a friend. Why does this bottle keep calling me when I see it at last differently? Like a junkie's needle, why do these words pierce my virgin veins? All of my defeats and victories are getting harder to explain.
I am trying to forgive and live, but I continue to have that monkey on my back. I am chasing the dragon's tail. I search for anything that I can real as I keep my head down and keep on swinging without knowing the fight I am bringing
