Analysis of A Poem Of remembrance

I have been writing poetry since my sr. year in high school. I have written in other formats since third grade, when my teacher noticed that if I had the right encouragement, I might become quite good at my craft. The only problem is that I Have had cerebral palsy since birth, when I suffered from a prolapsed cord. I probably never would have become a writer if it weren’t for the advent of the computer. With my cerebral palsy My ability to write legibly is greatly impaired, as well as my spelling. It wasn’t until My Sr year that I found my love for poetry. I discovered my sr year that I had another disability known as turrets syndrome. While my Sr. year of High School was difficult with my disabilities, I was able to overcome my faults and graduate on time. I believe I also made a difference in the lives of my peers. I plan to continue writing as long as I can and am currently l trying to establish a business selling my poetry, not only written, but illustrated as well. My greatest hope in entering this contest is that it will be seen by at least one veteran and perhaps convey the gratitude that any true red-blooded American has for the sacrifice. more…
