Analysis of The White Horse Rider
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I saw that Heaven was opened,
A rider riding a white horse;
Faithful and true with sword sharpened,
Judgment had come to stay the course.
His eyes were like flames of fire,
On His head many diadems;
His name quest was to expire,
Every person that He condemns.
The robe He wore was of blood red,
And His name was the Word of God;
That pagans and sinners would dread,
Because of their body was flawed.
His army followed from Heaven,
Clothed in linen of pure and white;
Orders for the Word were given,
Striking the heathen in their sight.
He rules like a rod of iron,
Treads the winepresses in His path;
Clearing out a place for Zion,
Having such fierceness in His wrath.
He is known as the King of kings,
His vesture being Lord of lords;
The battle rages as peace brings,
As saints are given their rewards.
