Analysis of Better me

It's funny to me how you feel like you can control me
In all reality you are nothing to me!
Why do you feel the need to cut me down so badly?
If you hate me that much then fucking leave me!
Does it make you feel good when you make fun of me?
What is it you want from me?
I'm a good person, at least I try to be
But I can only take so much
Don't you see
My whole demeanor changes when you get to me
Then I'm somehow the asshole in your story
I'm hard to deal with, you can't handle me
What in the world is happening around me?
I wake up every day and try to be a better me
I just want to be happy
