Analysis of Closing time
I never tried to reach for the stars
I was always happy living in every bar
I’m still searching for a secret sign
But the clock on the wall says it’s
closing time
I crawled home to the sound of a crooked beat
I saw bones on the corner of every street
Some were high and some was low
I saw broken souls everywhere I go
All around my hometown they’re pulling the
shutters down
Because it’s closing time
Closing time
