Analysis of After The Dawn

Slowly going insane,
Trapped within myself...
No way out.
Trapped within walls,
That won't fall.
Crying from within.
Slowly going insane,
Hearing myself scream..
Stop the pain let me go.
Trapped behind walls that won't fall.
Reaching out,
You're not there,
Slipping through fingers that aren't there.
Don't understand,
Don't care to try...
Don't want to see,
Denial your contained.
Trapped behind walls that won't fall..
No one hears my screams.

About this poem

I wrote this during a very dark period of time in my life. And those that have been dark will understand it more than others.
