Analysis of The Gift of Life
Some of us are able to give
Our surplus of life to help others live
To donate in life or death to another
We untether those bound by illness who suffer
Organ failure is a merciless beast
Gnawing away at the master, it eats
Consuming all that one may have
Until nothing is left, there is no more to give
Let us quell this relentless cur
And unbind the chains
That imprison the sick
Whose organs wane
The imbalance of supply and demand
Is unacceptable and can no longer stand
This is a call to arms, a rallying cry
To give life to those running out of time
Share what you have to give
Give the gift of life
This gift you can share
Saves many lives
