Analysis of Solitary Grace
Tommy L. Maddox 1972 (North Carolina)
Her eyes of passion,
and soul of grace.
Her love for one,
who never saw her face.
Alone she sits,
not caring anymore.
Not realizing her day,
could surely come.
A day of love,
at a moment's glance.
Will be her's,
if she will only take the chance.
Until that day comes,
she sits and ponders.
What is true love like?
What does it matter?
For she will not win this race.
Alone in her solitary grace.
