Analysis of Oceans
Cherakee Sykes 2002 (Roanoke)
Oceans, vast and endless
So much power, so much might
With waves that crash and break
Against the shore that they invite
Endless beauty, from above
With colors that drift and blend
Blues, greens, purples, and greys
A world that never truly ends
Oh, how they move and sway
With every breeze and every tide
The depths that hold a mystery
A treasure trove that can't hide
Oceans, they're a world apart
That we can only hope to know
From the smallest of creatures
To the largest of whales that grow
With every wave and every ripple
They breathe life into our souls
A world that's both serene and violent
It's a story that forever unfolds
So, let us venture to their edge
And let the surf wash over us
The gift that the ocean holds
A true masterpiece, without a fuss.
