Analysis of Once Upon A Dream
Liana Yuditt Diaz #Qbana80 1966 (La Habana)
Our love was once a thing of beauty,
A friendship that blossomed into duty.
We'd hang out at Chichi's all night long,
Talking and laughing, our bond was so strong.
We'd dance and drink margaritas too,
Those memories, they make me blue.
But then came the day we tied the knot,
And soon after, things started to rot.
You went away on TDY, and I felt lost,
Days without you, they carried a cost.
You were always working, always gone,
The loneliness inside, it played a song.
I thought you didn't love me anymore,
The pain was so great, it shook my core.
So I let you go, to find my own way,
Hoping that someday, we'll talk again.
You're always in my heart and soul,
The memories of us, they'll never grow old.
And I'm sorry for the pain I caused,
For letting you go, and without a cause.
I hope someday we can be friends once again,
To enjoy each other's company, just like back then.
I miss the times we shared, the laughter and fun,
Our love may have changed, but I miss our bond.
My love for you still lingers, it will never die,
Even though we said our goodbyes.
You will always hold a place in my heart,
Even though we are now miles apart.
