Analysis of Seasons Of Grief
Whispers Of My Soul 1994 (Nottingham)
Days are gone,
Night is day.
Pain buried inside,
Painting on my masquerade.
Universe can hear my souls cries,
Shooting stars - of another year gone by.
My lord hears my prayers,
Patience, worries and fears.
The earth rotates.
The volcano inside me quakes.
Hope blossoming in the spring,
Grasping reality as the wind sings.

About this poem
This is a poem that relates to parents who have lost their child due to addiction, social services or death. This is very personal to me as I’ve had lost a child in a miscarriage and have had a daughter taken away from me by social care This poem reinforces powerfully that you’re not alone and these emotions are normal year round.
