Analysis of In Blood And In Name

Sophie Reece 1999 (Prince Edward Island)

In Blood And In Name

You will always be a part of me in Blood And In Name,
Your voice has stayed with me this passed week

The uncle of my grandfather, the man who seemed to know more about people then they knew themselves,

Our oldest family member, our strongest link to the past,
You were both a giant and a king,
In Blood And In Name,

I feel you here with me, as I write this now,
This string will not brake, it will only get stronger,
Your soul is in the Scottish sea,
And wrapped in the MacDonald tartan we will lay your bones in the island soil.

I will carry you with me every day of my life,
In Blood And In Name
