Analysis of Come Nearer in Thought
Lona L. Drum 1945 (Nevada)
With silence just behind you,
I come to turn your head.
To charm you, to calm you,
and fix these thoughts unsaid.
Relax my love, just ease my love,
and sense my drawing near.
An essence clear a fragrance pure,
a whisper you shall hear.
Forgive my love, this lapse of time,
this wait you have endured.
And feel this touch, this softest touch,
I've place so gently there.
To stir your soul, to pulse you heart,
to sway your mind to share.
With me a thought, those tender thoughts,
the thoughts that hold me near.
