Analysis of A Cage of Love

Caging me in his heart,
He play'd a subtle move

Luring me into admirin' it,
Turned it into my tomb!

I can stay buried forever,
If I am the one he choose.

About this poem

—A short six-line poem, that is not particularly about how you feel in nutshell, yet it is about conveying complex and difficult situations which have been metaphorically presented in a condensed manner. How often do we feel lured into something, being held captive by it? You feel trapped as if you cannot escape! Today we usually find such traps in toxic relationships. The main aim is to warn people to be careful and recognize those signs of manipulation before getting yourself into it.
