Analysis of Spatial Awareness
Christopher Thompson 1982 (Columbia, MD)
I wish I could pretend
Just a little more
Close my eyes, just a bit longer
Fly through endless sleep
And catch a glimpse…
Brush across the wish I had
And wipe away this regret
Sink slowly into those deep blues…
Fade across the spectrum
Dissolve these careless embers
Leave me, entombed
Break against the words I so carelessly paint
Set aside these trivial emotions
And give way to the escape…
