Analysis of Promised love

Bruce Mason 1963 (Huntsville Alabama)

How does one say good-bye to something that we hold so dear. It's a love that's been promised and they will always be here.
Is always just a word that's part of a rhyme or is it like forever, just a short piece of time. If that's the case then I don't want to know. Just tell me you love me till it's my time to go. Just tell me you love me till our days part and you gave me your all , all you have in your heart
