Analysis of The crown has been fixed
Neriah Anaiah Christian 1994 (Toronto)
The crown has been fixed
From the tender age of six she lost hope in humanity
Then spent her teenage years suffering from insanity
I want to tell you a story about a princess who dropped her crown
A story about a little girl who always felt down
Life never handed her lemons, only trauma instead
Spent most of her life just wishing to be dead
At least if she had lemons , she could make lemonade
She was too busy caught up in a life full of hate
“Stop” “no” & “you’re hurting me” became all too common
That’s when self-harm started to happen way too often
No one ever saw the brokenness and pain
So she never tried to hope for a brighter day
Time went on and she tried to smoke it away
That helped nothing and she began drinking early in the day
Life kept getting worse and she began to feel cursed
It was trauma after trauma and her voice was never heard
Misused her body in such ungodly ways just to survive
God witnessed it all and said “there’s a purpose for you if you’re still alive”
She didn’t believe Him so she stayed in toxic relationships
The longer she stayed , the more she was filled with bad habits
It got to the point where she couldn’t take life anymore
She was about to end it all with death on the door
But then Jesus came and grabbed her and He didn’t let her go
He changed her entire life and it wasn’t slow
He took the little girl that was buried inside her
Then said “don’t be afraid, I’ve come to restore her”
She took His hands and held on so tight
She could never forget such a light so bright
He poured into her and picked up her crown
From that day forward, she never looked down
He calls her His princess and His chosen one
He washed her clean from every wrong she has ever done
She no longer copes with things of this world
She seeks His face when life gets cold
