Analysis of Patience

In the depths of self-pity, I find myself lost,
Drowning in its pool, a heavy cost.
A mere caricature of my former self,
Irrational angst impedes my path to wealth.

Perpetually trapped in a child's maze,
Empathy and understanding seem a distant phase.
We all wrestle with pits of despair,
But not everyone succumbs to their snare.

A never-ending loop in the universe's scheme,
Darkness hidden in the depths of our dream.
It grips you tight, holds you down,
The ghost of yesterday, a heavy crown.

Step out from the shadows, let the light embrace,
Where darkness falters in its empty space.
There's a path to redemption, clear and true,
Leave the dark waters, let the sun dry you.
