Analysis of Cardinal’s Repertoire
I love him much
And it seems
He visits muchly.
Branch above my window
Early morning gusto.
Crimson his best asset.
Different tunes I will get.
It’ll come, it’ll come
Springtime.
Be yourself, be yourself
Pal of mine.
Sweet, sweet, that’s you.
Wake up Bud
Work to do.
And it need not
Dampen things.
Jobs get done.
As you sing.
Treetop friend
February’s end.
Brightening the path
To Spring.
(After the drab grey and white of winter, this little troubadour in red gives hope for the leaves and bright blossoms.)
