Analysis of Kiss Me.

Kiss me.
Put your lips upon mine when you meet me next.
Breathe your essence into my body in ways you never thought possible.
Fill my cheeks with blood as I blush at your enthusiasm.
Kiss me as though there is nothing left -
as if we are trees slowly engulfed by a flame which grows much quicker than we ever did.
Crave me with ferocity and yearn for my presence.
Wish for me in the ways you wished for others but pretend I am the first one you ever wanted.
I will believe anything your lips tell me.
Kiss me like you have never done so before.
Look into my eyes and tell me you love what I have told you I hate.
Kiss my insecurities like they are exquisitely divine.
Run your fingers over my imperfections.
Study them.
They are yours.
Once you have memorized the textures of a body I spent years forcing myself to forget, memorize the way your hand feels beneath my chin.
Feel me with the hand that pulls my eyes towards yours and prepares me for your lips.
Kiss me until you have done so a thousand times.
Kiss me until the world stands in awe of our presence -
an intermingling of two bodies both drowning in a sea of unspoken words said effortlessly and eagerly the second we connect.

Kiss me until the day
the forests burn down and the thrashing waves take our bodies
for if your lips trick me into believing I am immortal, I will believe it.
Kiss me until we become dust so that when we are birthed once again, I will be able to sift through the ashes and unearth your soul.
Because, my love, we are nothing when separate,
but the cosmos when colliding.
Kiss me.
